Christmas 2011

Wow, Christmas has come and gone at record speed this year! It was a wonderful, family filled holiday as usual. I am so grateful for this time of year and the chance to focus so much of our thoughts on our Savior and his miraculous birth and to spend so much time with family and friends.  We fit in a lot of the usual traditions: Christmas tree hunting, gingerbread house making, Christmas parties, sibling gift giving, Christmas Eve hamburgers, Christmas Eve pajamas (once again, my mother is a mad woman!)...

BUT, the big news this Christmas? Santa (bless his silly big heart), gave us a PUPPY! Man, it's been quite the change in our home. Kinda like we got a new baby... except we can't put a diaper on this one. Santa must have thought that we were ready for such an addition. I'm starting to wonder what the bleep Santa was thinking!

Anyways, we're slowly adapting to the new member of our family. Hopefully, we can manage through the next year without completely ruining the poor dog or losing my last ounce of sanity.

Here are some pictures from Christmas morning.  Our camera died and took all the pictures of our Christmas festivities with it, so we only have pictures of Christmas morning since I got a new camera (how convenient):
